Valentine’s Day Getaway – Old World Romance at The English Inn

January 11th, 2019 by Corey A. Edwards

Valentine's Day Getaway at The English InnLet that special someone know just how much they mean to you with a Valentine’s Day getaway at The English Inn. Enjoy a romantic dinner, the finest accommodations, and big savings at our highly rated restaurant and B&B with our Ultimate Getaway lodging package.

The English Inn Restaurant & Pub offers some of the finest dining in the Lansing area. It’s also situated in the most lush and romantic setting you can imagine: historic Medovue Estate.

Nothing says romance quite like Medovue. Our 1920’s, Tudor Revival mansion is nestled on 15 acres overlooking the Grand River. Irving Jacob Reuter spared no expense when building the estate, using marble, slate, and Honduran mahogany. Old-world grandeur and romance can be found in every curve and detail of the manicured grounds.

The English Inn is an exceptionally romantic venue no matter when you visit. This is especially true during Valentine’s Day, however, and a perfect time to take advantage of our Ultimate Getaway Package.

Pop The Question

January 21st, 2012 by insideout

If you’ve been thinking about popping the question, and are just waiting for the perfect time and place, we have a suggestion.

If everything goes as planned, this could be you.

Bring the object of your affection to The English Inn, our Lansing area Bed and Breakfast and fine dining restaurant. Come for the night or come for a leisurely dinner. Many places around the inn are perfect for proposals: the dining room (over champagne or a glass of wine), the guest rooms (private and luxurious), the gardens (even in winter), the pergola overlooking the Grand (the breathtaking view).

You may want to consider our Ultimate Getaway Package, which includes luxury accommodations, a champagne dinner for two, breakfast, and a commemorative lithograph of your stay with us. How many people have a lithograph of the moment they popped the question? How wonderful!

The charming country setting of our Lansing area Bed and Breakfast is inherently romantic. Make the most of it. Pop the Question during a romantic getaway here, perhaps some time around Valentine’s Day. Even if you know the answer will be yes, it doesn’t hurt to set the right mood.

Later, when you’re deciding on a wedding venue, consider saying your vows where you first promised you would. In years to come, you may even decide to celebrate your anniversary with a trip to our Michigan inn. Now that’s romantic.

Are you thinking of proposing soon? Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day to do so. Sneak a ring in a box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers. Better yet, get on your knee while sharing a meal at our Lansing Fine Dining Restaurant.

We love to watch romance blossom. The first date, the proposal, the wedding, the anniversary… we invite all to take place at our romantic Lansing lodging.

Your Valentine deserves something special. Something elegant. Something simultaneously understated and over the top. How about a night at our romantic Lansing Inn?

We still have a few rooms available on Monday, February 14, 2011, but they’re going quickly. Romantically minded folk have realized that treating their Valentine to a Romantic Getaway at our historic inn – even for one night – will win them many kudos. Bring your spouse, your partner, your sweetie – and give yourself over to romance.

Have a romantic soak at the Ivy Cottage on February 14, 2011.

This treat will be especially appreciated by couples with children. When was the last time you had a date? Do you even remember? With our Ultimate Getaway Package, a night at the inn is capped with a Champagne Dinner for two. Linger over dinner, then spend the rest of the evening reconnecting. You won’t need to keep track of time or worry about the babysitter – your children are in good hands, and so are you.

Call grandparents, aunts, cousins, or old family friends. There must be somebody who would love to spend one evening with your children. Your kids will be thrilled by the novelty of it all.

And you? You’ll only be gone for one night, but the benefits will last for months.
