A Gift for Mother’s Day

April 28th, 2010 by insideout

This year, give your mother something extra special for Mother’s Day: a gift certificate for a stay at our Lansing bed and breakfast.

Let Mom decide when she wants to travel. You are simply providing the motivation to go. She’ll love strolling our grounds and dining at our restaurant. She can travel with her spouse, a friend, or you – the choice is hers.

Here’s another idea for a Mother’s Day Gift: start planning a family reunion at our Lansing bed and breakfast. Bring everyone together to celebrate family, and mom. Reserve one of our banquet rooms and spend hours reconnecting and enjoying each others company.

Enjoy lovely views from our restaurant.

Toast the Women in Your Life

March 9th, 2010 by insideout

March is the month for women. International Women’s Day and National Women’s History Month are two reminders that it is important to recognize and honor the women in our lives – our mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters.

Treat the women in your life to a night at our Eaton Rapids bed and breakfast. Let them stay in one of our elegant rooms, in the height of comfort. Dine in our elegant restaurant, or more casually in the English pub. Raise your glass to the women you love.

You will awaken to fresh coffee outside your door. A full, gourmet breakfast is served weekend mornings, and a satisfying Continental breakfast is served during the week.

Everyone likes to feel appreciated. Sometimes all it takes is making time for one another. Perhaps you simply want to treat the women you love to an elegant meal at our Lansing area inn. Your appreciation will shine forth with lunch or dinner, at the pub or in the more formal dining room.

Honduran mahogany paneled walls lend an air of sophistication to The Devonshire Room, which comfortably seats fifty. The Midford Room is the original dining room of this Tudor Revival Home, and easily accommodates 32 guests. Views of the Grand River make The Thames Room a delightful setting for twenty-four people, while the stone fireplace and terrazzo floors make The Oxford Room a cozy choice for intimate winter meetings of sixteen or less.

Should you need to host a large group, Medovue Hall is for you. Originally built in 1927, it’s marble foyer and elegant features create a sophisticated ambiance that will enhance any business meeting. It is perfect for up to 200 guests, but can also comfortably hold as few as 50 people.

Your event will be a success if people are pleased with the food. Knowing this, we make the meals a priority. Mingle over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails before settling down to a lunch of pecan encrusted pork or seared salmon, or a dinner of filet mignon or chicken oscar. These are just a few of the options; your guests will have an ample selection of entrees, guaranteeing they all find something they will enjoy.

Sometimes it makes good business sense to treat your people to something special. They will certainly feel appreciated after meeting at our historic Lansing area Conference Center.
