The Ultimate Eaton Rapids Wedding Venue
The English Inn can accommodate weddings of almost any size. From grand ceremonies of up to 200 guests to more intimate events of 50 people or less.
One of our most popular outdoor wedding ceremony locations is the Pergola on the banks of the Grand River. Here you are surrounded by a garden with a lightly bubbling fountain that echoes the sounds of the nearby river. So lovely.
Inside, for larger wedding parties, we have the Grand Ballroom, with its crystal chandeliers and vaulted ceilings overlooking the river. For smaller ceremonies there are four different dining rooms to choose from, each one offering its own unique experience.
The English Inn is also a popular Lansing-area bed and breakfast, with 18 plush rooms for your bridal party, family, and guests.

Host Your Wedding at The English Inn

The English Inn Lansing Bed and Breakfast specializes in weddings big and small.
At this time of year, many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony in one of our outdoor locations: in the Pergola overlooking the Grand River, or in our lush English Gardens. Intimate weddings are best in the Gardens, while the Pergola easily accommodates larger parties.

We offer five wedding packages and will work with you to create your ideal wedding. We are accustomed to morning ceremonies, afternoon ceremonies, and evening ceremonies. We’ll prepare brunch for your guests, lunch, dinner, or an array of heavy appetizers. We have packages suitable for budgets small and large.

Wedding Open House

Take the first steps toward planning your wedding this Sunday.
Sunday, February 21, 2010, our Lansing Michigan inn is hosting a Wedding Open House from 11am to 3pm.
Weddings require so much planning and so many decisions, it can be hard to know where to start. On Sunday, take the first steps toward creating your special day.
More than 20 of the finest wedding professionals in Michigan will be on hand to field questions and offer general suggestions. You may meet the person who will help you realize your perfect wedding. While you are here, taste appetizers, enjoy a drink, and sample wedding cakes.
This is also a great opportunity to learn about the wedding venues here at our Lansing area inn. We have lovely settings for both intimate and large indoor weddings. Outdoor weddings may be in our lush gardens or in the pergola in the woods, overlooking the Grand River.
We hope this event will help you crystallize your wedding plans. We also expect it to be fun.
Planning Your Wedding

If you plan to marry later this year, now is the time to start planning your Michigan wedding. This may be the first great event that the two of you negotiate together, and the more time you allow for discussion and decision making, the better.
The Pergola.
First you need to decide how large or small you would like your wedding to be. Looking at different venues can help you make that decision. At our Lansing area Inn, we have many options, from the Oxford Room which is ideal for an intimate reception of up to sixteen guests, to Medovue Hall, which can comfortably accommodate 200.
Having the ceremony and reception at the same location is wonderfully convenient. We have two areas that are quite nice for Lansing outdoor wedding ceremonies: our English Gardens are ideal for romantic, intimate ceremonies, while the Pergola overlooking the gardens and Grand River is a lovely setting for larger parties.
Will you have five or one hundred fifty people present? Will you have a morning or afternoon ceremony? Will your reception last for two hours, or four? Have fun making these decisions together – and remember, the most important part of a wedding is the lifetime together that follows it.
