Fort Custer State Park is just over an hour from our Eaton Rapids Michigan bed and breakfast. It makes a lovely day trip when the weather is fine.
The staff of our Michigan b&B can recommend good spots to stop for lunch pick up picnic supplies. All you need do is sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside to Fort Custer State Park. Over 25 miles of trails traverse more than 3,000-acres of land; hike, bike, or ride a horse if you can find one. The land is old farmland, and scattered throughout are the foundations and chimneys of old farm houses. Second growth forest covers much of the land, though prairie restoration is successfully underway.
Once back at the inn, restore yourself with a drink in our authentic English pub and a good dinner.
