The Great Lakes Folk Festival

July 19th, 2010 by insideout

One of the most exciting events of the year is coming up soon in East Lansing: The Great Lakes Folk Festival. Snatch up the few openings we have at our Lansing bed and breakfast, put on your dancing shoes, and come have some fun on August 13 – 15, 2010.

Hope to see you at the 2010 Great Lakes Folk Festival.

There is to be fantastic music, of course. Some of the finest folk musicians from the Upper Midwest will perform, along with some of the finest musicians from around the globe. In addition, professional storytellers, dancers, cooks and craftspeople will be in East Lansing, ready to share their knowledge and skills.

The Great Lakes Folk Festival has been a tradition for over 20 years. This year, it brings an exciting variety of music and culture to the stage. Interested in seeing a Cowboy Poet, Slovenian Polka, and Senegalese Ekonting? No problem. Torn between Flamenco, Hawaiian Ukulele, and Azerbaijani/Iranian music? See them all at the 2010 Great Lakes Folk Festival.

We can’t wait. We promise to help you prepare for your day by feeding you a hearty breakfast at our historic Lansing bed and breakfast. Once you have listened and danced to your heart’s content, we invite you to enjoy a little peace in our gardens. Sounds like a lovely weekend.
