Potter Park Zoo’s annual start-of-summer celebration – Wine and Stein 2015, Thursday, May 21st – is a great way to sample wine, craft beer, food, and live music in a casual and friendly zoo setting.
Wine and Stein 2015 is the 7th annual return of what has rapidly become one of Potter Park Zoo’s most popular events – and who’s surprised? Everyone loves to visit the wild, exotic, beautiful, and often endangered animals who live here but, add a wine and beer tasting, coupled with mention hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a complimentary, souvenir glass you get to take home with you and … right?
An accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Potter Park Zoo is not your typical zoo. With over 20 acres and more than 500 animals from 160 different species, they may appear to be your average menagerie but annual, year-’round events like Wine and Stein 2015, with its food, drink, and live music, make this zoo more wild than most!
While many of the special events hosted by Potter Park Zoo – Pumpkin Fest, Boo At The Zoo, Wonderland of Lights – have an educational or promotional agenda, Wine and Stein 2015 is just about sharing a happy “hello!” to the warmth and wonder of summer with as many friends as can attend.
If you’re planning on attending Wine and Stein 2015, you must be 21 years of age or over. Potter Park Zoo will close at noon on the day of Wine and Stein 2015 to get set-up.
