Nov 20th Lansing’s Silver Bells in the City
Silver Bells in the City is Michigan’s premiere holiday event, bringing thousands of holiday revelers to the Capital City each year for the stunning spectacle that is the Electric Light Parade, the lighting of the official Christmas tree for the state of Michigan, and an inspiring fireworks show that lights up the Capitol dome. Not to be missed.
Nov 20th through Dec. 27th Wonderland of Lights at Potter Park Zoo
Potter Park Zoo holds many exciting events throughout the year and the end of the year festivities are no exception! Come November 20th,t he popular zoo will once again be transformed into a holiday wonderland with twinkling lights, displays, entertainment, activities to amuse the kiddies, and – of course! – Potter Park Zoo’s wonderful menagerie of animals. Thursdays through Sundays, 5pm to 8 pm. Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Dec 5th East Lansing’s Winter Glow
Chestnuts roasting, marshmallows toasting, carriage rides, live music, local celebrities, a special outdoor holiday farmers’ market, winter carnival rides, Santa, and much more make up this fun and popular FREE event in downtown East Lansing, 3pm to 6pm.
Dec 5th and 6th The 52nd annual MSU Arts & Crafts Holiday Show
One of the largest holiday arts and crafts shows in the state, the MSU Arts & Crafts Holiday Show is over 170 booths on 4 floors offering beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handmade items in all price ranges, including pottery, jewelry, photography, clothing, aromatherapy, home décor, woodworks, stained glass, and much more. Pick up unique gifts for family, friends – and maybe even a little something for yourself!
Dec 5th through Jan 3rd The Turner-Dodge House A Festival of Trees
Come see a forest of beautiful and unique Christmas trees, decorated by various groups and individuals around Lansing! The variety will astound and delight you! Fridays, 5pm to 9pm, Saturdays, 12pm to 8pm, and Sundays, 12pm-6pm.
Dec 13th Meridian Historical Village’s Christmas in the Village
Step back in time to an old-fashioned Christmas an old-fashioned Christmas at Meridian Historical Village’s Christmas in the Village! All the historic Meridian Village buildings will be decorated for the season, volunteers in period dress will demonstrate Christmas traditions of long ago with music, Santa, Christmas tree lighting, cookies, cider, and an opportunity to purchase unique and hand crafted items
