The Lansing Lugnuts 25th season gets a do-over in 2021 with 20 six-game series, including 60 home games. Opening Day is May 4th and at home on Jackson Field, with the Lugnuts taking on the Lake County Captains.
2020 was set to be a special, 25th anniversary year for the Lansing Lugnuts, but fate had other plans in store, as we’re all too well aware. Now, things are slowly getting back to normal. One sure sign of this is the return of Minor League Baseball. In the Lansing area, that means the Lansing Lugnuts.
The Lansing Lugnuts are the Oakland Athletics’ Class A Midwest League affiliate. The team has won two Midwest League championships and hosted four Midwest League All-Star Games. The Lugnuts have produced 154 Major League players with 26 former Lugnuts currently active in the Majors. The team also still holds the MiLB attendance record for a club’s inaugural season and regularly draw 300,000 fans a season.
2021 promises a return to the excitement and fun of live and in person MiLB. The Lansing Lugnuts will undoubtedly up this ante with lots of special, 25th anniversary promotions and events.
Best of all Jackson Field (previously Cooley Law School Stadium/Oldsmobile Park) is less than a half hour from The English Inn Restaurant & Pub. Enjoy all the noise and excitement of a Lansing Lugnuts MiLB game, then come back to the peace and comfort of your room at our historic Lansing-area bed and breakfast.
