Silver Bells in the City – November 17th

Silver Bells in the City is probably the biggest and most popular of the annual Lansing holiday events. The city is lit with thousands of merry, sparkling lights and decorations for the season. Events include the Electric Light Parade, Silver Bells Village, the lighting of the State Christmas Tree, live entertainment, and fireworks over the Capitol dome.
Wonderland of Lights at Potter Park Zoo – November 17th through December 31st

Potter Park Zoo is always good for a visit but once they transform it into a winter wonderland with thousands of lights and displays – WOW! This you have GOT to see. Thursdays through Sundays, 5pm to 8pm, and closed Christmas Day. There’s also the Winter Wine & Stein from 5pm to 9pm on December 6th. Enjoy tastings of beer, wine, and fabulous hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants – 21 and up, only.

Get into the magical spirit of the season in East Lansing! Carriage rides, roasted marshmallows, a special outdoor holiday farmers market, ice-carving demonstrations, live music, pictures with Santa, children’s activities, and much more.

Christmas in the Village – December 10th

Step back in time to Christmas past (sans ghosts – phew) at Meridian Historical Village. The historic buildings and volunteers alike will be decked out in their vintage holiday best. Come share in the Christmas traditions from years past, 2pm to 4pm.
